BENEFITS OF POURED WALL FOUNDATIONS
At Hamill Concrete, we are committed to quality and adherence to specifications. Our poured wall foundations are engineered to provide lasting strength and durability.
- Strength
The compressive and flexural strength of poured wall foundations is greater than that of block walls, which need steel reinforcements to achieve the same strength. Their strength also measures far beyond the required safety factor. - Water Resistance
Due to their increased strength, density, and joint-free construction, poured wall foundations help maintain drier basements. This means poured wall foundations also offer superior mold-resistance. - Fire Resistance
Concrete has the highest fire rating of all construction materials, but not all concrete foundations offer equal protection. The solid construction of a poured wall foundation offers at least twice as much protection against fire as a foundation made of hollow concrete blocks. - Design Flexibility
Poured wall foundations offer the ultimate design flexibility for architects and contractors, because they start as a liquid. Other foundation materials, such as concrete blocks, are not capable of being manipulated into any shape. - Maintenance
Poured wall foundations require little to no maintenance. That’s because they are resistant to pests, rot, fire, water, and other elements. The most upkeep that will need to be done is occasional painting and sealing; the frequency depends on the humidity levels of the building location.

Our company was established in 2017, but our founders’ experience in the industry is decades in the making. Shaun is the owner of J&W Asphalt, and has been working in residential construction since he was just 13 years old. Tim has a degree in construction management, and has worked in the poured wall business since 2000—14 of those years as the foreman of a poured wall crew. We know the industry inside and out and have high standards for ourselves and our work on every foundation. In fact, we’d rather have fewer jobs and deliver exceptional workmanship than try to get as many jobs as possible.
At Hamill, we believe building a strong, successful business is much like building a sturdy home—it starts from the ground up. We’re dedicated to doing right by our employees and setting them up for success. This is why all positions with our company are year-round and full-time—no contractors.
